This afternoon and tonight at NYU Skirball, a photographer with one of the best jobs in the world will share some stories about his travels to the far corners of the world. Paul Nicklen preceded today’s 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. talks with a Facebook chat; when someone asked a rote question, his answer was anything but:
Q: What’s the most beautiful place you’ve been?
Nicklens: South Georgia, Antarctica.
If you can’t make tonight’s event (the matinee talk is limited to NYU and high school students), the next best thing is Nicklen’s Instagram account. A must-follow for anyone interested in wildlife photography.
Nicklen often speaks about his first-hand brushes with the dramatic effects of climate change. And last month, he partnered with Design Museum Boston for an exhibit housed inside a temporary labyrinth made out of ice.
